Limitless Wrestling's Vacationland Cup heading to Lewiston's Colisee this August

By Josh Nason

For the first time in its storied history, Limitless Wrestling will run The Colisee in Lewiston, Maine, for this year’s Vacationland Cup on Saturday, August 17th.

The news was announced at Saturday’s No Debate show. This will also be the first time Limitless runs Lewiston for any event.

Tickets go on sale Monday, May 20th at 9 AM Eastern on The Colisee’s website or by calling 207-783-2009.

The Colisee is the home of the Maine Nordiques hockey team in addition to concerts, MMA, and other events. The most famous happening at the venue was the Muhammed Ali vs. Sonny Liston rematch in May 1965 that saw the Ali “phantom punch” that knocked Liston out in the first round.

This will be Limitless’ second-ever show in an arena of this size, following September 2019’s Know Your Enemy at the Portland Expo.

The event will be the culmination of the Summer of Limitless Wrestling which begins at June’s Seasons of Calamity in Hermon, Maine (tickets available now) and continues with July’s Crunch Time in Yarmouth.

The annual tournament began in 2018, making this year’s edition the 7th overall. Starting in 2019, the tournament winner earned a Limitless Wrestling World title shot at the following month’s anniversary show. Traditionally, that title shot happens at the anniversary show — a tradition broken by current champion Channing Thomas last year.

At the aforementioned No Debate, Aiden Aggro became the first qualifier for the tournament, defeating former champion Ace Romero to earn his spot.
