Alec Price vs. Donovan Dijak set for Limitless Wrestling's Vacationland Cup

By Josh Nason

Alec Price challenged Limitless Wrestling founder Randy Carver to give him bigger competition and has complained for two solid months about Carver’s infatuation for “flavors of the month” — especially when it comes to this year’s Vacationland Cup.

Well, Price got his wish as he will have to “Do or Dijak” against former WWE & NXT star Donovan Dijak in the first round of the annual tournament.

As a reminder, this year’s VLC is on Saturday, August 17th which is also the company’s debut at the legendary Colisee in Lewiston, Maine. Tickets are available now through the venue’s website or by calling their box office.

The show is co-presented by Bissell Brothers, Maine Vintage Toys and Craft Brew Underground with support from Fogbreaker Studios and Chaotic Wrestling.

While the former Limitless World Champion has been in the VLC, he has never won it.

Price’s first VLC was in 2020 when he advanced to the finals with a win over Ace Romero, but couldn’t win in the final four-way which was for the Limitless World title.

The next year, he qualified once again and defeated Big Beef to make it to the finals but that year, it was Anthony Greene who left with the trophy.

Price skipped the 2022 tournament for good reason: he was the champion. Then in 2023, he returned and defeated Kevin Blackwood in the first round but was eliminated by Dezmond Cole in the four-way final which set up a notable feud.

While Price has got his opportunity to regain the title, he has been unsuccessful in doing so.

In Dijak, he faces a physical force of nature who will make his return for the first time since the 2018 La Kermesse Festival when he lost to Greene. Dijak has already made waves and won a title since his return to the indies this summer. What better way to really make people feast their eyes than to win the tournament and challenge the champion in September?

Be there for the biggest VLC of all time.
