Channing Thomas vs. BRG title vs. title match set for Limitless Wrestling's Crunch Time
By Josh Nason
For the first time ever, the Limitless Wrestling World championship and Let’s Wrestle championship will be on the line in a title vs. title, winner takes all match at Crunch Time.
The show is set for Saturday, July 20th at the world-famous AmVets “Arena” in Yarmouth, Maine, and with around two weeks to go, the venue is more than half sold out. If you’re planning on coming, let’s go.
As if both titles being up for grabs wasn’t enough, may I mention the combatants are former longtime partners & friends and are both super-long titleholders in Limitless Wrestling World Champion Channing Thomas and Let’s Wrestle titleholder BRG?
This match was set into motion at May’s No Debate following Thomas’ title defense over Swoggle when BRG emerged from the back to call out his old friend after some social media banter between them leading up to the show. A challenge was made and eventually accepted, made official after Thomas’ title defense over Danhausen at June’s Seasons of Calamity.
Thomas enters the show with seven successful title defenses and the one-year anniversary of his title win looming in the distance. He is officially the second-longest reigning Limitless champion of all-time and both he and Sidney Bakabella want nothing more than to be at the top of the list.
Enter BRG who hasn’t been in a Limitless ring in a year, last seen defending his title against Brian Milonas. He has held the title for nearly 16 months with 18 (!) successful defenses from Warwick, Rhode Island, to Fairfield, Maine, against challengers of all sizes.
But he hasn’t faced a challenger like Thomas as they shared the ring with each other for more than a year along with former Let’s Wrestle Champion Mac Daniels as the trio known as Prestigious, flanked by the one and only Jon Alba. Nearly two years after the group officially imploded at the 2022 Vacationland Cup tournament, two of the members square off for the two top titles in the Carververse.
Between that and the VLC qualifiers, this will be a show not to be missed. But, you knew that already.
