Dezmond Cole vs. JT Dunn VLC qualifier set for Limitless Wrestling's Crunch Time

By Josh Nason

Dezmond Cole and JT Dunn — two heated rivals — will go head-to-head at this Saturday’s Crunch Time from Limitless Wrestling for one of the few precious slots remaining in this August’s Vacationland Cup.

The show is set for this Saturday from the world-famous AmVets “Arena” in Yarmouth, Maine. Less than 50 tickets remain so another sellout is approaching. If you can’t make it, watch it live or on-demand with a subscription or one-off PPV buy at IWTV. (Use the code ‘Limitless’ to help us out too.)

The history of these two goes back to last year’s VLC when Dunn returned to Limitless at the last minute to replace the injured Ortiz of AEW fame. Cole and Dunn went head-to-head in one of last year’s best matches which led to an alliance between the two.

As Cole was looking to challenge Limitless World Champion Channing Thomas for another shot at the title, Dunn inserted himself into the conversation and at Dunn’s behest, the two took on Limitless World Champion Channing Thomas in a three-way at January’s End of Beginning that Thomas won where that relationship began to fray.

While most chalked it up to competitive juices flowing, the two teamed up at February’s Bitter Taste against Richard Holliday & Charles Mason. They lost and again, frustrations rose after the match.

Then, Dunn’s old pals in The Unit came out and added some fuel to the fire. What happened next erased all the goodwill Dunn had built up with the fans since his VLC return as the old Dunn returned and laid out Cole with a Death by Elbow from behind. Dunn ripped on Cole at April’s Guilty Pleasures even though he wasn’t in the building, saying it was Dunn’s locker room and Cole wasn’t welcome in Limitless anymore.

The two then went head-to-head in a trios match with The Unit & Dunn taking on Cole & Above The Rest at May’s No Debate. It was a physical match as you might expect with Cole & ATR picking up the win. Cole then made the challenge afterward for a VLC qualifier, so here we are.

Both Dunn and Cole have won their last three one-on-one matches and both have a rich history in the VLC tournament. Only one of them can make it into this year’s tournament to see if that history will include their-first ever VLC win.
