Limitless Wrestling End of Beginning results & recap: Of pine boards, Rip & heartbreak

For the first time since 2016, DangerKid will no longer be part of Limitless Wrestling as he lost to Aiden Aggro in the main event of last Saturday’s End of Beginning, ending his run in the promotion per the stipulation.
This was a clash between former tag team partners turned opponents after Aggro’s shocking betrayal at December’s Force of Nature and subsequent callout of DangerKid for an unsanctioned bout where if he lost, he would leave forever.
Both men came out with new music, new looks and in Aggro’s case, a personalized ring introduction delivered by a special guest, J-Heru.
The longest match in Limitless Wrestling history at nearly 50 minutes, this saw the old school MSP buoy brought into play in addition to waterboarding (!) and handcuffs that were attached to a hole in DangerKid’s ear at one point. Referee Eric Greenleaf, who has known both men for years, was visibly conflicted throughout the match and later blamed himself for stopping the match after DangerKid was unable to continue.
After a late rally fueled by him snapping out of the post-December funk, DangerKid nearly had the match won by hitting a Drip Drop onto Aggro while he was laying on a propped up door. He later ripped off the ring mat and cushioning, leaving the exposed pine boards in place. Alas, it would be his doom as he missed a senton, nailing his spine on the pine.
Aggro then choked his former friend unconscious and won by referee stoppage, stunning the sold-out crowd in Yarmouth.
Several minutes later, those that remained heard DangerKid at his most emotionally exposed. For nearly ten minutes, he unpacked everything that led to this point, even apologizing to Aggro for not being present the past few years. He then said he was going to leave to take care of himself for the first time in ten years, thanking the fans for accepting him for who he was. (I can’t do it justice here so just listen to it, ok?)
So we are now in the post-MSP era and the post-DangerKid era in Limitless Wrestling to kick off 2024. Who would of thunk it?
**********
The other major development coming out of Saturday was the surprise return of Rip Byson after a multi-month residency in Japan. The former LW World Champion (looking quite trim, I must say) interrupted current LW Champion Channing Thomas and Sidney Bakabella who refused to leave the ring area following intermission. Bakabella said they would be skipping February’s show due to vanquishing all the title challengers.
That brought out Byson and his trusty chain. Considerably more intense and focused than before, Byson wanted Thomas to put up the title on the spot as Byson had done back at August’s Vacationland Cup, leading to the shortest title reign in company history. Thomas was interested, but Bakabella said the fans had seen enough and if it was to happen, it would have to wait until February which was later confirmed.

The reason Thomas and Bakabella were so joyous was due to Thomas’ successful title defense over Dezmond Cole and JT Dunn in a triple threat. This was an outstanding match that saw all three men unload their respective tanks. Bakabella was taken out at the onset by a Dunn Death By Elbow, but made his return in the closing stages by putting Thomas’ foot on the bottom rope as Dunn was about to win.
Thomas hit his signature piledriver on Dunn after a low blow to get the win as Cole was unable to get back into the ring in time to break it up. Both Dunn and Cole exchanged words after the match, but Cole begrudgingly shook Dunn’s hand after initially blowing it off.
Here’s the rest of a memorable night in Yarmouth:
TJ Crawford defeated Alex Hammerstone
After losing to Anthony Greene in a 2023 match of the year candidate, Crawford took advantage of his shot at redemption with a victory over the former MLW Champion. After surviving Hammerstone’s power-based offense for the majority of the bout, Crawford got the W with a small package counter to a suplex attempt.
Afterward, Hammerstone gave Crawford his props, saying that 9 out of 10 times when he’s brought in to wrestle, it’s against someone that isn’t up to his caliber. However, he felt Crawford was the 10 in that equation.
Ace Romero defeated Hazard
In a surprise match, Hazard interrupted Rich Palladino as he was about to announce a special returning star to Limitless in February. Hazard had lots of one-liners including the following:
“Don’t get me started on TJ Crawford. I will walk through him like wet toilet tissue. If he gets in this ring, I will take his boots and make him walk home.”
“I’m not here to make friends. I’m in the no friend zone.”
“These guys want high fives, handshakes and hugs. That’s the only Triple H they will ever see.”
After saying he was here to catch a body, former LW Champion Romero had enough and busted through the curtain to a rabid response. Hazard did his best, but Romero ended up with the win following his package piledriver.
Afterward, Romero called out the returning star — former Impact World Champion Sami Callihan — for a match on February 24th.
Gabby Forza & Aaron Rourke defeated Ava Everett & Ricky Smokes (w/ LSG)
Yes, you read these pairings right. Smokes called out his former ARTE mate to have the carefrontation he wanted in December. Everett delivered a scathing response to Smokes which brought out the popular Forza who took a loss to Everett and LSG in a December tag match. She suggested Everett and Smokes take on herself…and a surprise partner who turned out to be the unadvertised Rourke which got a massive pop from the fans.
As you might expect, Smokes and Everett couldn’t get along and Smokes eventually ditched Everett, leaving her to take a suplex driver from Forza for the pin.
Rourke then delivered his own promo, spilling all the tea about Everett and Smokes while saying he has known Forza since she was five. He put over the Limitless fans and wrestling, saying he would make the drive from Long Island, New York, until the day he died.
Smokes snuck in from behind and laid out Rourke with a chair before running away. The blow was so bad that Limitless officials had to tend to Rourke and assist him after several minutes in the ring.
This is far from over as Rourke said on X, “Your day of reckoning is imminent.”
Rich & Powerful (Charles Mason and Richard Holliday) defeated Waves & Curls (Traevon Jordan and Jaylen Brandyn)
Mason was making his return to Limitless for the first time since August 2022 and brought a surprise guest with him in the debuting Richard Holliday of MLW, GCW and Northeast indie fame. The two used their size advantage to their, well, advantage, picking up the victory after Mason hit a spinning piledriver on Brandyn. This was the first Limitless appearance in Yarmouth for Waves & Curls since April 2022.
All eyes look toward February 24th’s Bitter Taste LIVE from Yarmouth, Maine, with the following announced:
