Channing Thomas vs. Aaron Rourke Limitless World title match set for Necessary Evil

By Josh Nason

For the first time in his 3.5 year tenure, Aaron Rourke will get a shot at the Limitless World title as part of April’s Necessary Evil.

The show is set for Saturday, April 26th at the one and only Yarmouth AmVets Arena in Yarmouth, Maine, with a 7 PM bell time. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 28th and if history tells us anything, they will sell out once again.

Rourke will challenge reigning titleholder Channing Thomas who successfully defended his title at March’s Bissell Brothers Bash against Donovan Dijak. It was the first defense of his second title reign and came in the main (Maine?) event of one of Limitless’ biggest shows in its near-ten year history.

Rourke has been a thorn in the side of Thomas and Sidney Bakabella’s newly-formed den of thieves and after missing December’s Limitless Rumble due to injury, he returned in January with a renewed purpose.

He and Gabby Forza defeated Thomas and Aiden Aggro at February’s WARPATH and at the Bash, Rourke defeated past two-time champion Anthony Greene. Afterward, he cut an impassioned promo where he made his intent clear as his time on the indies may be short due to his WWE ID status.

Now these two will meet in Limitless for the first time in a singles bout. Will we see the next Limitless champion or will the reign of Thomas & Bakabella continue?

Be there to find out.
