Anthony Greene vs. "Hurricane" John Walters set for Limitless Wrestling's Morgan Hill Meltdown

By Josh Nason

A sentence I never thought I would write: “Hurricane” John Walters is about to make his Limitless Wrestling debut.

A sentence i never thought I would write, pt. 2: “Hurricane” John Walters will take on former Limitless Wrestling World Champion Anthony Greene.

That will indeed happen this Sunday, January 12th at Morgan Hill Meltdown, set for the Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon, Maine. Limited tickets remain with the show streaming on both YouTube and IWTV.

The show is presented by White Lobster Vintage.

If you’re not familiar with Walters, the 45-year-old Massachussetts native was a force on the New England indie scene starting in the late 1990s, competing in Ring of Honor, Chaotic, EWA, NECW and other promotions you and I have been to before.

He slowed down his career in 2014, only wrestling nine times between 2015-2020. He now makes select appearances, competing just once in 2024 but will finally make his Limitless debut and first Maine appearance since 2013.

His opponent is obviously a tough one in Greene who is coming off a disappointing December outing at the Limitless Rumble, breaking his pinky finger in the opening four-way which rendered him unable to compete in the Rumble later that night. He hasn’t been that lucky in his last few Limitless outings and needs to start putting some consecutive wins in the ledger.

The former Limitless champion against the former ROH Pure Champion. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Here’s the current lineup for Hermon:
