Ace vs. Aggro VLC qualifier set for Limitless Wrestling's No Debate
By Josh Nason
May’s No Debate already has fans buzzing and the full card has yet to be announced.
A good reason for that excitement is a match between two Limitless Originals as former LW World Champion Ace Romero takes on Aiden Aggro. As if the grudge between them wasn’t enough, it will also be a qualifier for the Vacationland Cup tournament later this summer.
That bout will be part of the Saturday, May 18th event at the famed AmVets “Arena” in Yarmouth, Maine, with a 7:30 PM EST bell time. Tickets are available now and if history tells us anything, they will sell out so buy now.
The two men have been on opposite ends of tag team matches before in addition to teaming alongside each other, but a lot has changed over the past six months or so. This will be their first ever one-on-one clash in Limitless.
Aggro has a new attitude that emerged at last December’s Force of Nature after he & DangerKid’s loss to Above The Rest. Aggro turned against his longtime MSP partner after the bout, and then ended DK’s Limitless career at January’s End of Beginning. “The Main Character” is now flanked by J-Heru and has not endeared himself to the Limitless faithful, name dropping Romero during his scathing February promo in Yarmouth.
Romero has been hell-bent on getting back to the top of Limitless since losing his long-awaited title rematch in December. He has rattled off wins over Hazard, Sami Callihan and Joey Janela since then as his eyes are locked on qualifying for this year’s Vacationland Cup.
At April’s Guilty Pleasures, he confronted Aggro after his win over TJ Crawford and let him know exactly what he thought of him, challenging him for No Debate which Aggro and Heru wanted no part of.
Later backstage, after accepting the challenge and faking that they were leaving the building, they took Romero out during his interview with Ethan Scott with Aggro saying it was “big bitch season” — a shot at Romero’s Big Boy SZN mantra.
And now, we arrive at No Debate as both men try to position themselves at the top as another big Limitless summer approaches.
