Channing Thomas vs. Ichiban set for Limitless Wrestling's Vacationland Cup
By Josh Nason
Channing Thomas will look to continue his Sidney Bakabella-fueled run toward a Limitless Wrestling World title shot as he faces Ichiban in the opening round of this Saturday’s Vacationland Cup.
The show is set for the AmVets in Yarmouth, Maine, at 7:30 PM Eastern. Less than 70 tickets are available with the show streaming on IWTV for subscribers for those unable to attend.
Thomas hit rock bottom at Fresh Blood in October 2021, losing to Dezmond Cole in record time. That led to the surprise return of famed manager Bakabella who has cornered Thomas in other promotions. Since that night and the introduction of the World Classic Challenge, Thomas is unbeaten in six singles matches (5-0-1) and qualified for the VLC with a win over Cole to avenge the loss that started all this.
In Ichiban, he will take on a prospect ready to fully explode on the scene. He earned his way in by winning a four-way qualifier at May’s Winds of Change over BRG, Brian Milonas and Vaughn Vertigo — his second straight victory in Limitless. With a win, he ends Thomas’ winning streak and raises his stock. With a win in the four-way finale at the end of the night, that stock goes up even more.
Will the streak survive or is it time for Ichiban to shine on a bigger stage? Be there and find out.
