Dezmond Cole vs. Channing Thomas VLC qualifier set for Limitless Winds of Change

By Josh Nason

In one of two Vacationland Cup qualifying matches taking place at Saturday’s Limitless Wrestling Winds of Change, Dezmond Cole will face Channing Thomas in a rematch from 2022.

Under 40 tickets remain for the event at the AmVets in Yarmouth, Maine, which will also stream live for IWTV subscribers for those unable to attend.

Per tradition, the winner will move on to August’s newly-announced VLC tournament that crowns a number one contender for September’s anniversary show.

Cole comes in on a high after defeating 2 Cold Scorpio in a legend vs. future match at March’s Reasonable Doubt while Thomas defeated Alexander Lee at April’s Identity Crisis in an impromptu street fight.

Thomas hasn’t been defeated in singles action, coincidentially, since Cole upended him last October in near-record time. That embarrassing loss helped him reconnect with Sidney Bakabella who has been by his side ever since and has promised he will have gold around his waist this year in Limitless.

These two were also in a four-way at last September’s Chasing Forever that Cole won. That followed a disappointing VLC finals performance by Thomas in a match eventual champion Ace Romero won.

Cole has been in search of a Limitless World title shot since his big 2022 run, but former champion Alec Price shut down his momentum at January’s Hard to Handle. He now has the path laid out in front of him to resume his journey, but is it his time?

There’s a lot at stake, so be there live or watch it live on IWTV.
