Let's Wrestle Revamped preview: Gangrel, Ace Romero, Channing Thomas

It’s Saturday and that means it’s time to bundle up and get ready for Let’s Wrestle Revamped — live from Brewer, Maine’s Indoor Yard Sale.

Tickets can be pre-purchased or bought at the door. While the event won’t stream live on IWTV, it will be available on the streaming service within a few weeks. As a reminder, this will be a benefit for the Maine Skateboard Association and a cash raffle for prize packs will be held.

Here’s a quick preview of the show, but while you’re here, listen to the official preview podcast hosted by yours truly and Randy Carver. Get it on Apple, Spotify or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

Gangrel vs. Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella)

Gangrel (1-1 in Limitless) will be making his Let’s Wrestle debut while Thomas & Bakabella will look to keep their unbeaten streak in the World Classic Challenge going. Bakabella did his job in frustrating WWE Hall-of-Famer Ricky Morton in January and will undoubtedly be looking to do the same against the former WWE star.

Limitless World Champion Ace Romero vs. Conner Murphy non-title match

Ahead of his title defense against Beef and Rip Byson at March’s Reasonable Doubt, Romero can’t afford to look past Murphy who has returned from injury with a bigger chip on his shoulder and something to prove to all his haters in this one.

Aiden Aggro vs. Joseph Alexander

“Mr. Right Now” returns for a rare singles match — his first in Maine since March 2001. The MSP member will have a tough challenge on his hands in the debuting Alexander, who holds titles in two other organizations. The New Yorker known as “A Game” has made an impression elsewhere and will look to do the same Saturday.

Let’s Wrestle Champion Mac Daniels celebrates one year as champion

Yes, after a whopping four total title defenses and threatening to no-show the Eric Johnson fundraiser show due to issues with BRG, Let’s Wrestle Champion Mac Daniels will be on hand to get his flowers as he celebrates one year as champion. As Carver pointed out, however, GM Johnny Torres will be on hand so the celebration may take a turn. We’ll see what’s in store for the champion tonight.

Alexander Lee vs. Jake Hess

This will be the final match for “Jacked” Jake Hess before he heads overseas for a year on military leave. His request for an opponent was met in Lee. These two have battled before and Hess will be looking to make a strong impression to the Brewer faithful before he departs. Learn more about Hess’ story in the Bangor Daily News or watch he and Dave Dyer talk on WABI.

Eric Johnson addresses his wrestling future

After tearing his quad last year, the former Let’s Wrestle Tag Team Champion and longtime Maine wrestling mainstay Eric Johnson will address his future in the business. It’s been an emotional road to recovery, punctuated by last year’s fundraiser. With a live mic in hand, it will be must-see to hear what is on the always loquacious mind of Johnson.

Masshole Open Challenge: Mike McCarthy vs. Levi Spade (w/ The SeaWolves)

Former Let’s Wrestle Champion McCarthy makes his return to the promotion and is bringing back his Masshole Open Challenge series. Young upstart Spade was first in line to answer the challenge and is bringing the SeaWolves along to back him up. A win here would be Spade’s biggest of his career while McCarthy wants to forge a path back to the title.

Elle Valentine vs. Shannon LeVangie

Valentine will be making her Let’s Wrestle debut while this is LeVangie’s first match for the promotion since May 2022’s Do or Die when she defeated Surfadora.

Jason Maverick, Diego Alvarez & Dave Dyer vs. Dunky Boy Bandit, El Espartano & Sebastian Finn

This will be a trios showcase featuring prospects from the Limitless Dojo. Of note, the Bandit will be returning from injury.
