Ortiz vs. Dezmond Cole set for Limitless Wrestling's Force of Nature
By Josh Nason
Perhaps the third time will be a charm.
A match originally set to take place in August and then again in October will finally, and hopefully, happen in December as Dezmond Cole will take on AEW’s Ortiz at Limitless Wrestling’s Force of Nature.
The show is set for Saturday, December 16th in Yarmouth, Maine, at the AmVets. Very limited tickets remain with the show streaming live on IWTV for those unable to attend.
These two were set to hook it up in the first round of August’s Vacationland Cup, but Ortiz had to be pulled in order to compete in the Stadium Stampede match at AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium. Cole defeated replacement JT Dunn in a match of the year candidate, but failed to win the tournament.
The match was then rescheduled for October’s Fresh Blood but that event had to be canceled due to the uncertain situation about the location of the gunman in the Lewiston mass shooting.
Cole is coming off a huge win over Alec Price at September’s 8th Anniversary Show in a Last Man Standing match, gaining a measure of revenge for Price costing him in the aforementioned VLC finals. After his victory over Price, he called out current Limitless World Champion Channing Thomas.
Before that can happen, he must pick up a win over Ortiz who will be making his solo debut in Limitless after several tag team outings with former partner Santana. Five years after he last graced the Limitless ring, he will making his own bid to be part of the future and perhaps his own World title shot.
Here’s what’s been announced thus far with plenty more to come:
