Ace Romero is still the Limitless Wrestling World Champion following Saturday’s Fresh Blood, dispatching the surprise challenge of “Big Bacon” Brad Hollister to open the show, available shortly on IWTV.

After Romero delivered some impactful words, including that he is celebrating 60+ days of sobriety, Hollister emerged from the back to answer the challenge, running down Romero’s accomplishments in the process.

After a physical match, Romero picked up the pinfall victory following a massive clothesline. After two title defenses, Romero will await his next challenge at Limitless’ final event of the year on Saturday, December 3rd in Yarmouth, Maine.

In one of the other big developments of the night, Anthony Greene jumped Rip Byson from behind following Byson’s victory in a three-man elimination match that also included MORTAR and Covey Christ. Following Byson eliminating Christ to get the win, Greene ran in from the front door and attacked Byson, using a strap to cause welts on Byson’s back and then using it choke Byson out.

After referees were unable to stop the enraged Greene, MSP came out for the save and Greene eventually scurried out of the ring. Byson eventually got up under his own power and ran to the back to find his enemy.

Earlier in the night, Greene was defeated by Beef in their highly-anticipated matchup that saw Byson get involved, preventing Greene from using a metal portion of the ring buckle on Beef. Beef then hit the Beefy Bomb, which he had been unable to land twice prior, to help him pick up another big win in Limitless.

The Beef vs. Greene match took place after Romero vs. Hollister. As Beef came out, he and Romero had a staredown (seen above) that could be a precursor to a big (literally) match down the road.

Challenges issued for December 3rd

While no matches have been made official for December 3rd, one challenge was issued that will have Limitless management talking in the weeks ahead.

After a big win in the night’s main event over the Shook Crew, The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) took the microphone to stake their claim as the best team in Limitless. They then issued a challenge to Above The Rest (Tristen Thai & Gabriel Skye) for the December 3rd show as the two teams have been chirping at each other on social media for several weeks.

In another development, it was revealed that Limitless management agreed with Let’s Wrestle Champion Mac Daniels and suspended BRG for a month after he attacked Daniels from behind at September’s Chasing Forever. BRG then appeared from the crowd during the show and delivered his own impassioned promo, calling out Daniels and his lack of defending said title, issuing his own challenge for December 3rd. Daniels will next defend against Champ Matthews this Saturday at the Eric Johnson benefit show.
